Sorry for no posts recently! I have been really busy recently! However it is that time of year! Another opening! Today High School Musical opens! It is very exciting! Who knows what will happen!
There is excitement in the air and the theatre is alive. The black box theatre at least.
So wish me luck and take a taste of the excitement, listen to this song. :D

Now, I first became an actor in the beginning of 2011, I had a few performances toward the end of the spring and beginning of sumer, then I took a break and came right back into it in the fall when I received the part of Fancourt Babberly in Charley’s Aunt. Then Peter the Pumkin Eater in The Real Women of Mother Goose and during that production I auditioned for the part of the Wizard in The Wizard of Oz. I auditioned for this part for one simple reason. He does not sing.
I did not sing, I loved to sing, but I believed I was bad at it and I was correct. When I got my part instead of becoming the Wizard I got the part of the Cowardly Lion. The Lion has TWO solos and sings in a total of four songs! I did not know what to do, but I excepted.

I had four months to learn how to sing…. what do you do? Choral performances! Why? Because you can get on note, on pitch and learn to sing well while mixing in with many other people. You do not have to worry about singing bad because you are just one of many.
So I joined my school’s choir and my friends noticed an immediate difference! By the time of the performance I received so many completes saying I sounded amazing! I even got a call back for a Musical Theatre intensive training program which I heard was very hard to get.
Besides the fact that it helped me with my singing, it is just so much fun! I highly recommend choral groups to all!
